The
Examination:
 Integral
to the initial office visit for every adult is a complete examination
of the head and neck. As much of the examination will be performed
on each child as he or she may tolerate. The ears, nose, mouth,
upper and lower throat, larynx (voice box) salivary glands and
neck will be evaluated.
The purpose of the examination is two fold. First, it leads to
the diagnosis and treatment. This, of course, is why you have
sought our help. Second, it screens for problems that you may
not be aware of. In this manner we can recommend measures that
may be able to prevent minor problems from becoming major ones.
