As
the name of the specialty implies, we care for patients with
diseases of the ear, nose and throat. However, the specialty
has a broader scope. In addition to diseases of the ear, nose
and throat, we treat patients with nasal fractures and facial
lacerations; benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck,
sinus disease and allergy. We also perform surgery of the
face and neck such as nasal reconstruction (rhinoplasty),
as well as correction of deformities of the external ear (otoplasty).
Another area in which we are integrally involved is the evaluation
of patients with dizziness as their imbalance relates to the
inner ear balance organ.
Audiology, ENG, OAE, and ABR Testing:
Audiology, Hearing Aid, ENG (balance testing), Otoacoustic
Emission testing, and Brain Stem Audometry services may be
performed in our office by one of our licensed audiologists.

Allergy:
Our office offers complete allergy testing and immunotherapy to
patients suffering from allergic rhinitis. This is an important
option for patients who find that medications do not fully control
their sinus and allergy symptoms.
The
Examination:
Integral to the initial office visit for every adult is a complete
examination of the head and neck. As much of the examination will
be performed on each child as he or she may tolerate. The ears,
nose, mouth, upper and lower throat, larynx (voice box) salivary
glands and neck will be evaluated.
The purpose of the examination is two fold. First, it leads to
the diagnosis and treatment. This, of course, is why you have
sought our help. Second, it screens for problems that you may
not be aware of. In this manner we can recommend measures that
may be able to prevent minor problems from becoming major ones.
